We’re happy to confirm 7 more Scandinavian headline dates along the earlier announced Danish Alborg Metal Fest and Swedish Linköping headline show. See the tour section for details! Support acts are yet to be confirmed, but we hope to more info on these soon.

For those unaware, two of Katatonia’s guitars were stolen during the St. Paul gig several days ago. Thankfully, the band has some good news to report from the road today:

The police reported today that the guitars have been turned in. We wont get into the murky ugly details right now as the priority was and is that we get them back on the road for our shows and then onto the competition winners, so lets celebrate that for now while the police continue to do their job. So…. Vancouver for the first time tonight, who’s with us?

You may have noticed the show announcements for the club show in Linköping, Sweden and for the Ålborg Metal Fest in Denmark and we wanted to make you aware that more Scandinavian shows will be announced soon. We can’t give out any details just yet, but keep an eye out for this as news is soon to come.

Katatonia have been confirmed to appear at the Aalborg metal festival in Denmark on November 6th.

Our New Night Over America tour starts tonight in Baltimore. As previously mentioned, we’ll be joined by Swallow the Sun from Finland and Orphaned Land from Israel.

We’re very pleased to announce one New Zealand and five Australian dates this coming December as part of the ´No Sleep Till Tour 2010´. Together with Megadeth, NOFX, Dropkick Murphys, Parkway Drive, Gwar, Alkaline Trio, among many others we’ll be rockin’ out the land kangaroos and koalas for our first time ever. We couldn’t be more excited!

A video interview filmed in Paris back in March with Anders and Per has surfaced and is available below. The two talk about the new album, upcoming tour plans and various nonsensical yet humorous ramblings.

It is with great regret that we have to cancel our gig at the Eindhoven Metal Meeting scheduled for 17 and 18th of December. Holland has lately been really good to us and we hate to disappoint our Dutch fans, but Katatonia been offered an opportunity to tour in a few places that we have never visited and played before and we simply couldn’t refuse. Where these places are will be announced here soon and we promise to make it up to our fans in the low country.
