Katatonia will return to Knebworth on July 7th to play UK’s Sonisphere festival.

Here’s Daniel you to give you a quick low down on what’s been going on in the studio.

Katatonia are confirmed to appear at Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbühl, Germany on August 18th, 2012. The festival says: “Sweden’s KATATONIA have been undergoing an interesting, remarkable change over the last few years. While the band led by Jonas “Lord Seth” Renkse started out in the early nineties as an evil black/death/doom outfit, over the years they opened their style more and more to atmospheric and progressive sounds. So altogether this band’s life work can only be considered a total piece of art without any stylistic boundaries. A feast for open minds and dark souls, of which there’s always more than a few at SUMMER BREEZE. By the way, KATATONIA have been in the studio since January recording what is to be the follow-up to the grandiose ‘Night Is The New Day’ album. Let’s hope a few new songs are presented in time for our big anniversary, taking the darkness to a whole new level.”
