Watch the video for The Longest Year off of our new album Night is the New Day below. The video was directed by Charlie Granberg. As previously mentioned, we will be releasing The Longest Year as a four track EP on March 15th.

What I mean? For me this album was a huuuge letdown and quietly I just hope that in future there is something as delicate, nuanced and brilliant coming up as almost all the work in the golden era between Discouraged - LFDGD...

And Katatonia keeps fucking up everything. You faggots should gave up after The Great Cold Distance, that was pretty much the epitome of the band and mainstream success. At least, wait few years MORE, make some other ideas instead of more emo shit and return with something great including some trip-hop and gloomish sounds like Unfurl, Dissolving Bonds and those b-sides, they are amazing.

Instead, we get this piece of shit with keyboards, shitty melodies and lyrics taken from a children T.V. show and obviously Opeth/Porcupine Tree, a WOMAN singing, childish art book, awful videos directed by someone who looks like it's a DeviantArt user, and more exposure from the band. Cool, it's over, Katatonia is finished for me and most old fans. Let's move on.

I think it looks cool, apacolyptic, but the editing makes no sense whenever music videos are almost obsolete in helping a band with promotion. MTV never plays videos, when and if they do it wouldn't be Katatonia. So the video is basically for already established fans so why cut the music? makes no sense
