Not that the band makes 100% of their media decisions, but there is nothing whorish about allowing one of the best industry mags to host the video. It is no different than giving them an interview. Labelling Katatonia "suicide rock" was lame of them though...

Interesting video/influences. I didn´t know Red House Painters, better check them out (they make sense as an influence, a bit of the same Katatonia melancholic feel from a couple of songs I youtubed). I was maybe thinking P.Tree was in there but then I realized you just really like them but they´re not really an "influence" on the music per se. yesterday i bought your album...i'm sure that it needs a lot of listenings!i have to say that i;m an old fan of you and i'm very confused with your new material.Yes it has a great production,great lyrics but i can't find anywhere the feeling that made me love ya.Slow tempos,full of strings and there is almost no distorted guitar.Hope that the time will make my heart to touch it.however,gongratulations and especially for the song"the longest year".
