Blistering.com recently interviewed both Jonas and Anders individually to discuss everything about the new album, and also broke down the Katatonia discography with their own comments.
Katatonia, met up with Peaceville Records at their show in London, to sit down and answer fan-submitted questions. The questions ranged from inquiries about their latest studio album, Night is the New Day, and the band’s musical influences, to questions about food and breaking the law.
About.com recently interviewed Anders about how he first got into music, Katatonia’s very first gig, places he’d like to tour, choosing songs for setlists, the song writing process and much more.
Imhoteps Paul Kearns and Roy Kristensen conducted a lengthy interview with Anders during the recent tour with Porcupine Tree. The interview delves into numerous topics related to Night is the New Day, such as the song-writing “crisis,” production, lyrics, and much more. The interview is broken up by subject into 5 videos.

“The album is one to actively work through over a series of listening sessions, and each journey through just makes the music better.” — Metal Underground (USA)
Anders and Daniel talk about how Krister Linder came to do guest vocals on Night is the New Day and much more about the album in this new video interview with metalitalia.com:
We’re proud to present the music video for “Day And Then The Shade,” the first single from Night is the New Day. The video was directed by Lasse Hoile.
Now that Night is the New Day is officially released in both North America and Europe, we’re curious to see your initial impressions. Specifically: What is your favorite song? Vote in the poll below and encourage any friends who have picked up the album to vote as well.
(Obviously this often changes over time and more listens, so we might try this again in a couple weeks to see how opinions have changed.)
Lastly — we have a nice surprise coming later in the day… stay tuned.
